All About Me

I am a highly organised, dedicated, and supportive tutor, with a proven ability to teach children from the ages of 3 to 11, building positive relationships with parents, and of course children. I achieved a BA QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) degree from Leeds University in 1995.

I have got an MA in Leadership in Schools. I have taught in 4 different primary schools and have taught all age groups from Nursery to Year 6. I love working with children to help them to achieve, to build their self confidence and self-esteem, to find strategies to complete tasks and to develop their independence and resilience.

My Skills

  • - Excellent knowledge of education across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
  • - Ability to plan, organise and deliver outstanding lessons.
  • - Phonics, I have trained other teachers in the teaching of phonics and early reading skills.
  • - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • - Provision for special needs children, I have worked successfully with children with Autism, ADHD, speech difficulties and dyslexia.
  • - Forest school qualified, level 3 qualification.
